I folded these origami Christmas trees last year as a donation for a non-profit that was invited to a handmade fair and asked for items to sell there, with proceeds going toward animal-assisted therapy.
I fell in love with the model and ended up making two more to keep for myself: a small rainbow one, and a big one I’d been wanting for a while.
For the big tree I used gift wrapping paper, but it wasn’t sturdy enough on its own, so I built a simple frame out of sticks and glued and taped the paper over it. I loved how it turned out, especially since the paper itself was so charming.
I also loved the photos I took of the ten origami Christmas trees I made for the donation.
